Magsud Ibrahimbeyov

Ibrahimbeyov was born in Baku,1935. After graduating secondary school he entered Baku Polytechnical Institute. He later worked at the Azerbaijan SSR Ministry of Construction and tried himself as a reporter representing Azerbaijan at the All-Union Radio and Television. he began focusing on literary studies and attended courses for advanced screenwriting and directing in Moscow in 1960–1964.

He has begun to creative work from the 1960th years. He was a Prose-writer, dramatist, scenario writer and producer. His most famous works - "Mezozoy əhvalatı", "Bayquş gəlmədi", "Yay tətili", "Bütün yaxşılıqlar üçün - ölüm!", "Truskavetsə kim gedir?", "Sən nəğməmsən mənim", "Ona görə ki, mən Ayvar Lidakam", "Qəza", "Bir az da sevinc", "Eşitmədiyim mahnı", "Qoy o bizimlə qalsın".

He was elected to the National Assembly of Azerbaijan. Some of his plays were later acted out in theatres throughout the USSR. He has also written screenplays for 12 feature-length movies and 11 documentary films.
