Islam Ibrahimov
Ibrahimov Islam Ismayil oglu – was an Azerbaijani critic, translator, member of Writers Union from 1954.
Ibrahimov was born in Tbilisi, 1922. he finished secondary school in Baku. He graduated from Azerbaijan State University in 1944, had worked as translator and directors of foreign news department in "Kommunist" newspaper (1943-1945), as Editor-in-chief in the Azerbaijan film studion named after J. Jabbarly (1953-19570, as Adviser on dramatic composition in Azerbaijan writers` union (1958-1959), as chief of the department of criticism and literature in the "Azərbaycan" magazine (1958-1965). Later he had worked in the State University of Culture and Arts as head teacher.
He died on 29 January, 1985 in Baku.
