Alekperov Ismayil Sadig oglu
(Azerbaijan Opera and Ballet Theatre)

Ismayil Alekperov was born in Baku, 1939. He graduated from Baku Musical School named after A.Zeynalli in 1966 and from the faculty of cultural and educational faculty of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts in 1973.

Since 19171 Ismayil is soloist of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, mugham department. His main roles-

Eyvaz (Ü.Hacıbəyli "Koroğlu"),

İbn-Səlam, Zeyd, Məcnunun atası (Ü.Hacıbəyli "Leyli və Məcnun"),

Zəvvar (M.Maqomayev "Şah İsmayil"),

Aşıq Vəli (Z.Hacıbəyovun "Aşıq Qərib"),

Əmi oğlu, Şeyx (Ş.Axundovanın "Gəlin qayası"),

Sofi Osmanlı (Ü.Hacibəyli "Əsli və Kərəm"),

Şeyx Alı (R.Mustafayev "Vaqif").

In 2009 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Republic.
