Jahangir Jahangirov was born on July 20, 1921. He shows interest to music since childhood. He entered Musical Technical school in 1937 , 1940 continued his education in Azerbaijan State Conservatory, people music department. he led the choir of Broadcasting Committee of the Azerbaijan. His later works included "Arazın o tayında" Vocal symphony poem, "Dostluq mahnısı" composition consisted of 12 parts, "Azad" and "Xanəndənin taleyi" Operettas, "Füzuli", "Nəsimi", "Aşıq Alı" Cantatas, "Sabir oratoriyası".
Besides that, the composer composed music for films , for theatre spectacles, For young generation - "Ana", "Aylı gecələr", "Bakı", "Dan ulduzu, bir də mən", "Ay qız", "Alagöz", "Yenilməz batalyon" "Teymurun mahnısı", "Koroğlu" "Xanəndə qızın mahnısı", "Dəli kür" və "Bayatılar", "Məhsul", "Bahar gəlir" suitaları, "Hind gözəli" ,"Koroğlu" ,"Qahirə eskizləri" , "Ballada" "Simfonik" ,"Simfonik qravürlər" (1977), "Təzə nişanlı" .
When composer selected text to song he usually addressed to Z.Jabbar, I.Seferly, R. Zeka . At the same time he does not forget classics creative works. He wrote ``Gul Camalin`` romance and for choir wrote the play of ``Qezel`` .
